In addition to established core technology platforms, such as NMR and mass spectrometry, we are developing new ways to ask questions in glycoscience using novel approaches based on scanning probe microscopy and surface plasmon resonance (both in imaging and spectroscopy mode), glyconanoparticles and fluorescent quantum dots. The application of these technologies ranges from single molecule detection and sequencing techniques to high through-put assays based on bespoke fluorescent substrates and carbohydrate microarrays.
